Unlike some, we don't really like to brag about ourselves too often.
There's nothing more annoying than constantly hearing 'we this, we that,
we we we'.
But, you did ask for it:) so here's the story.
How it all started
Pop Media Ltd company behind Oxxus.net was established in January 2003.
It's 100% privately owned and operated from New Zealand. Pop Media was
founded by Boris and Natasha (not the cartoon characters). Boris who's
a computer genius to say the least, with 15 years system admin experience
and knowledge of 11 operating systems under his belt. Natasha (your narrator
here), a web developer with qualifications is business management. It
was a very good mix of skills so it looked promising...
The rough beginings
To be completely honest, at the begining, we did not quite know what
to expect out of all this. After the very rough first six months, things
took a turn to the better. By the end of 2003 we've grown our customer
base to over 500 clients. However, things were still very rough. Working
around the clock, jugling promoting the business and providing 24x7 customer
service. It was time to bring in some help.
The success timeline
So we welcomed our first support technician and very shortly after, another
admin. From then on things started looking up and it hasn't stopped ever
since. We've grown to serve
4,000+ from
65 countries around the globe! We also snatched up an award in 2005 for the
fastest growing company from Host reviews' Top 10 Awards.
We're a very tight knit 'dream team' as we like to call ourselves. We
protest against beurocracy in favour of the team spirit and recognizing
individual needs. Here, both owners are still involved in daily operations
of the business. We all try really hard to keep our customers happy, to
keep our service offer competitive, to keep our servers stable and the
whole system running smoothly.
Subsequently things are looking very good at the moment. Customers are
happy (99.5% of them anyway there's always that .5% you can never satisfy)
and in return the whole team is happy, positive and enthusiastic about
the future.
We ought to be doing something right
Out of curiosity we sometimes search the web for customer' reviews on
3rd party host review websites. We rarely ever come across a negative
review of Oxxus.net. Considering that people talk alot more about their
negative experiences than positive ones, we ought to be doing something
right!
What the future holds
We hope to continue growing at a steady rate so not to compromize quality
of our service. We'll keep building the 'dream team' and maintaining good
and honest relationship amongst ourselves and with customers. We strongly
believe that this is the key to the long-term success of our organization.
