I've been trying to set up my wireless using the instructions at http://fedoramobile.org/fc-wireless/bcm4318-ndiswrapper/ and http://fedoramobile.org/fc-wireless/ndis-yum-livna. This seemed to work (with irc help) up to the 'put in the ndiswrapper -l command'.
But 'modprobe ndiswrapper' and 'dmesg | grep wlan0' dont seem to be doing their work correctly…
And ideas how to make it work?

'ndiswrapper -l' tells me that me ndiswrapper driver is installed, as is the device.
The format is slightly different to that shown on the website, though.
One thing it might be, it also says 'bcm43xx is backup driver' or something, even though I though this was completely removed in the first tutorial stage. Is that right?

yu31g7, su sets you to privileged mode

"su" will give you super user access, however "su -" sets particular paths that are basically shortcuts to commands, for example

yu31g7, while su - makes you *log in* as the root user, getting the full environment of $PATH etc.

ifconfig should work as root (su -), but if it doesnt with (su) you have to run /sbin/ifconfig
