i've read that tutorial. what i've done is increased the xms to 128 and the xmx to 512 and then eclipse wont start up

lemmy, thanks for the link. for future reference it doesn't match the eclipse.ini that comes with eclipse 3.3 and all the options i changed it to prevents eclipse from starting up.

you have to search the eclipse installation directory, there you'll find directories named 'plugins' and 'features'
you have to copy the plugin & feature jars there

hello, I'm layouting editors in rcp eclipse at the moment and I've got the problem, that when a windows theme is activated the layout looks different in margins, etc. I used the paintBorderFor option of the FormLayout but textfields do have other margins when Im activating the theme. Is there
any way to prevent those differences?

alright, I had a look at those log files.
The one in my workspace only contains old entries.
The log file configuration/org.eclipse.update/install.log contains two lines:

change to your eclipse/plugins directory and go "jar xf org.eclipse.update.core_3.2.100.v20070615.jar .options"
then copy the .options file to something like update.debug and use -debug update.debug to provide the options to eclipse
you can edit the file to activate tracing

just a moment, it seems like it is still working
but taking a really long time for some things
there is one warning:

at the moment it hangs at:
org.eclipse.update.core^79f5e4fe asJarFile :/opt/eclipse3.4/plugins/org.eclipse.ui.workbench_3.3.0.I20070802-0800.jar
but it did hang before at some other jar file and continued after a few minutes

Hi, I have imported a jar file into my project, however when i try to import from said package (import org.asteriskjava.manager.response.ManagerResponse I get an org.asteriskjava cannot be resolved error, am i doing something stupid?
