supergreg, someone asked earlier today if they could copy a component? Have two instances of it on the same install, I said likely not, they would be better served by installing two joomla installations and have an instance of that component in each install, ok?

depends on the component I guess. You need to also alter it to identify itself as something unique etc.. so for some components renaming the package could be sufficient, but not really something people should try without knowing what theyre up to
