when you are using the shell, you have to tell it what you want to do with a file. If you just type in the filename it tries to run it as a program
the first "thing" in the command is expected to be a program to run; if it's not executable you get an error

You *don't* need to be in RL3 to run s-c-d –reconfig.

I have upgraded my fc 6 to fedora 7 some time ago, and ever since my system has been really fucked. Now I'm thinking about doing a clean install of 7, but if I do that, without reformatting, will I be able to keep the stuff I have in /home and other custom files ?

with Mondo, you could blow away the machine to bare metal and completely change the drive hardware and still restore to a working system from the Mondo backup, (provided it fits on the new drives)

WebDragon, do i just copy these ttf files into the font folder?
Anyone familiar with VMware? I have a 7gb file on my linux box that i'm trying to move to an XP virtual machine on the same box but when i try to copy it over it says that there's not enough space on the disk, but when i check available space it says 22gb
is there a file size limit or something in VMware?
in /etc/modprobe.conf I have 'alias eth0 8139too' to do what insmod or modprobe would do elsewhere, plus attach it to the correct "port"
