Can php handle mysql datetime values as-is in the date() function?

can php handle mysql datetime values as-is in the date() function?
im pretty sure mysql internalyl stores date/datetime as a unix EPOCH time
Or do you still need to pass unix timestamps to that.
it wouldnt make any sense to do it any other way

it just displays it differently
qurve: date() still needs unix timestamps.. you can use date_format() in the query though

USB flash drives write every byte once

is it possible that these USB flash drives really have 2 TB capacity and you can only write every byte once? meaning if you erase a byte and you have a 1 GB memstick then you can erase it 2000 more times? but the old data doesn't disappear, it just gets moved away..
Action: pbug thinks about that for a bit..

MS SBS 2003 over MS windows 2003 server MOL 6.0

How long would it take & would it be difficult to do the following: install MS SBS 2003 over existing MS windows 2003 server MOL 6.0, then install blackberry SBE software, Confire exchange 03 for email calendar contacts, etc on all the computers..  configure BB software to work with hand helds, install updates patches etc…

Inspecting Hardware Configuration black screen and freezes

anybody here ever had a problem with the XP Pro install CD where after it says "Inspecting Hardware Configuration" it just goes to a black screen and freezes?
is your system new enough to run xp?
sometimes there can be hardware conflicts durring install that do that

upgraded the hw that is
on that same computer

could be a hardware conflict are you trying to do a fresh install?
