Web Based Email Access / Webmail
What is it?
Webmail is an email service that allows you to access your email through
your browser, when you're away from your home or office PC. You can access
your email from any browser or cell phone, as long as they're connected
to the internet. It's same as accessing your yahoo or gmail account.
Why it's useful?
It's a perfect soluton for checking your email when you don't have your
computer with you (your Outlook, Feudora).
How it works?
Webmail is automatically setup on your account upon activation. To access
it simply go to www.yourdomain.com/webmail and login to your email from
any computer in the world!
POP3 is a server used for receiving emails and SMTP is the mail server
used for sending emails.
You can choose to use our POP3/SMTP server for sending mail or you can
use your own (or your ISPs)
Please note: sending spam emails is strictly forbidden. Our system scans
all email activity and as soon as user is detected sending unsolicited
email, their account will be removed from the server immediatelly.
There are thousands of email borne viruses circulating the web daily.
Our virus filters stop on average 10 viruses per email user every single
day!
Most viruses auto-attach themselves to an email without the sender even
knowing he's sending them out. You can accidentally get them from people
you trust.
Worse yet, you can unknowingly send them to your business associates
and clients and infect their computers!

This is why virus protection is a must have for
every business email.

Mail Gateway
Typical server can receive ~500,000 emails per day. Each
of those 500,000 emails has to be checked twice (by both spam and virus
filter). Server has to run 1milion processes per day JUST to
complete email filtering. Spam and virus filters are the key perpetrators
for increased server loads, unstable servers and ultimately slow and
inaccessible websites.
To solve this issue we've now setup a Mail Gateway. That's a seperate
server dedicated to only checking emails for spam and viruses. In
other words, the server where your website is hosted is relieved of
having to run 1million processed a day. This in result makes your
website alot faster and significantly more stable and reliable. All
hosted accounts have access to this feature.
Truth about spam filters
There's no such thing as the 100% effective spam filter that won't lose
valid emails in the process. No matter how the host calls their spam filter "state-of-the-art" or
the "newest technology" the truth is, 99 out of 100 spam filters
work on the exact same principle. The only difference is how high/low
is the spam TOLERANCE level set to. High tolerance = no spam + loss of
valid emals. Low tolerance = higher spam + no loss of valid emails. It's
about striking the balance between reducing spam and getting valid emails.
Our spam filter
By consistently monitoring and readjusting the tolerance level we struck
the optimal balance. With our spam filters you will not completely eliminate
spam. You will reduce it to the bare minimum needed to insure those valid
emails are not filtered out in the process.
'Possible Spam' Feature
Another great feature is that the filter will mark all suspicious emails
'POSSIBLE SPAM'. 98% of the time those emails will turn out to be spam.
You can setup a "Possible Spam" folder in your emails client
so that all the leftover spam is being collected in that seperate folder.
Similar to Yahoo, gmail TRASH folder. This way you still get to keep your
inbox clean AND make sure all valid emails are all delivered.
It's an email service that allows multiple users to access the same email
account.
Why is it usefull?
It's useful when you want many people within your organization to have
access to the particular email account to send/receive emails.
For Example: you have email sales@mybusiness.com. You want all 3 of your
sales reps to be able to access emails sent to sales@mybusiness.com. In
order to do this you need to have email alias feature. You will then create
alias 'person1' alias2 'person2' alias3 'person3' and all 3 will be able
to download all emails sent to sales@mybusiness.com
How do I set it up?
You'll set this up through your account's control panel. It's very simple
to setup and full step-by-step instructions are provided
Message forwarding is a service that redirects/forwards
email sent to your email address to any other email address you specify.
For example you can forward all mail sent to mark@yoursite.com to mark@hotmail.com
instead. Once you set up message forwarding all messages are automatically
forwarded to another email address that you specify.
Why is it useful?
If you don't receive large number of emails or you just wish to keep all
your emails arriving at the same place.
How to set it up?
Massage forwarding is a breeze to setup. Everything
is done from your control panel.. Full instructions are given in our customer'
help desk but It's all self explanatory from there anyway!

To reply to sender when you're away from your email
Email Autoresponders
What is it?
It's a very handy email service free with all hosting accounts. It allows
you to send pre-set automated email responses to anyone sending a message
to a particular email address.
Why is it useful?
It's great for after-hour replies,
when you're away from home/computer and unable to respond immediately.
It's a great little convenient tool that will let your customer/friend
know that you're not available to respond right now.
Scenario: Customer sends a query and eagerly awaits your urgent response.
They don't hear back from you in days (because you're away on a holiday
unable to respond). Instead of your customer wondering why he hasn't
received a response, thinking you don't value his business and making
all kinds of conclusions wouldn't it be great if you let him know in
advance "I'm
away in Tahiti unable to attend to your query but if you need help you
can try contacting my assistant Dave on dave@yourdomain.com" -
immediate automated reply to his email, How handy!
How do I set it up?
Extremely easy. Everything is setup from your control
panel. Just write a message reply you wish to send and activate the feature
via your c.panel.

To pickup emails sent to non-existant email addresses @yourdomain
Catch-All Service
What is it?
catch-all is an email feature that'll pick up all emails sent to non-existant
email addresses on yourdomain and still deliver them to your inbox.
Why is it usefull?
If someone mistypes your email address, thanks to catch-all feature,
the email will still be delivered
What's the downside?
Spammers can misuse this feature because they don't need to know your
correct email address for their spam to be delivered. They can send it
to ie. xyzw4343@yourdomain.com and still get the message through. However,
your account comes with state-of-the-art spam filtering system so spam
emails will get filtered out anyway. Also note: this feature CAN be disabled
at any time.
How do I set it up?
It's setup on your account by default and can be disabled if needed.
