There are two different platforms for hosting your JBoss apps:

Java features	JSP, Servlets, Struts, Hibernate, Spring, EJB3, JSF, Eclipse
Logging	Default Jboss logging factory/log4j or your own application logging module. All logs available for realtime viewing or download.$
Deployment/Compiling	Easily deploy multiply war files simply by upload/Tomcat restart. Javac is available for compiling sources on the server and debugging.
Databases Available	MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle-10g

Jboss is RAM memory intensive and from our tests JBoss 4 can work on a Starter VPS hosting plan (19.95/mo) however for JBoss 5 or 6 we recommend a Developer plan.

How to get your Jboss web application up and running?

• Order VPS or dedicated server with your OS distro choice and shortly thereafter you will receive an activation email with your dedicated IP and root password
• Install Jboss on CentOS or Fedora (one-line installation i.e. yum–y install eroute-Jboss5)
• Jboss is running on port 8080 by default, so you will have to start Apache webserver and Jboss together: service httpd start; service Jboss5 start and you are up and running with Jboss console available on http://www.yourdomain.com/
• If you need a database, MySQL is ready to be filled with your tables/data via console or via phpMyAdmin web interface. PostgreSQL and Oracle 10g are also available
• You can easily configure virtualhosts for Jboss in case of multiple domains
• Mail server is installed and ready if you need to relay emails through your application
• Any additional services can be installed on your VPS server (providing there's enough available RAM memory)
