Maintenance Procedures and Policies
In the IT industry everything is progressing at such a fast pace and
we're committed to always being up to date
We strive to constantly keep up to date with the security issues, system
issues, new programs and applications, new email features, new hardware
and technology.
Our system admins (as a part of their
job description) have 10h/week minimum research and development quota.
In order to keep our servers secure,
it's pivotal all new security vulnerabilities are discovered as soon as
they emerge.
Whether it's the service offer, technology or new software releases,
we'll bring it to you as soon as it is available (while keeping your hosting
fees the same). We're constantly working on improving our service. For
you this means constantly increasing value for your dollar, secure
environment for your website and fast, reliable service.
Thorough planning and testing prior to all server and system upgrades
There are procedures and policies that have to be followed prior and
during all upgrades. Testing and careful planning prior to every security
or system upgrade is a requirement. This is done to ensure all all possible
(predictable) pitfalls are covered and emergency procedure is in place
should anything unforeseen happen.
We have a policy of never upgrading 2+ servers at the same time. Upgrades
on different servers must be applied at least 2hours apart.
Things rarely go wrong but preparation is the key to minimizing unforeseeable
situations and managing risks.
