How to transfer your site with Zero downtime

1. Order your Oxxus.net account and choose 'Free ip' special in the order form.
   Please note: You can not test your Java apps before moving your DNS to Oxxus without a unique IP Address. Therefore, to test your site you'll need to either purchase an IP or choose a free IP under a special 'YOU Choose' offer in the order form.
   
   

2. Within 4hours your account will be active and you'll receive all your account info and instructions.
   
   

3. Upload and deploy your apps inside your account.
   
   

4. Test everything works ok in your browser by going to your assigned IP address.
   
   

5. Once you're happy that your site is fully functional, you can then safely change your DNS records. Do not yet cancel your old host.
   
   

6. Registries now need 24-48h to pick up and update your new DNS info. As soon as that's done you can go ahead and cancel your old host.

Can I keep my site and emails at my current host and host my Java apps with Oxxus?

Absolutely, that's no problem at all. To achieve this, you'll need to deploy your Java apps within a subdomain. Then just modify your domain settings to point that subdomain to an IP of your Oxxus account (you'll be given an IP address in your account activation email). You do not have to purchase a unique IP address to achieve this.
