There are three options for hosting your Tomcat on our Servers
- Option1: Your Private JVM Tomcat on a shared nod server - plans are listed in the table below
- Option2: Your Tomcat on a Virtual Private Server
- Option3: Dedicated Server fully managed by Oxxus (or you)
What's the basic difference between Shared Tomcat and VPS Tomcat ?
- Shared hosting Tomcat is limited by available RAM. While on the VPS server you may have as much memory as you VPS package allows, shared Tomcat is limited by the sold memory packages.
- Shared environment also shares database server and file system with other users present on the server, while on the VPS you are in totally isolated environment
- Although VPS comes with Webmin control panel, shared Tomcat is equipped with professional web hosting Ensim X panel, which might prove to be easier to manage lots of subdomains and e-mail accounts.
- On shared Tomcat environment you can't host "addon domains", and you may have up to 5 domain aliases.
- Finally, users with a small application, who want to host in a hosting-friendly environment with less debugging should go for this option.
